Aerobic exercise increases blood flow and oxygen throughout the body and brain. Exercise also increases levels of brain chemicals that encourage nerve cell growth. Studies show that 30 minutes of exercise each day can be very beneficial. If you don’t think you have time for 30 minutes try for 10 early in the day and look for opportunities to fit in another 10 later. Run, walk, garden, dance. Isn’t it worth it if it might delay or even prevent the onset of Alzheimer’s disease? Or avoid a stroke?
