Why You Need To Be Concerned About Your Brain Health

Optimizing your brain health and memory is key to a long healthy life. People often overlook these two when it comes to their overall wellbeing. But they’re just as important as other types of health when it comes to longevity. After all, you don’t want to just live a long time. You want to be able to fully participate. Your memory acts as your brain’s filing system, storing and organizing information learned to be retrieved later. Everything you’ve ever learned is stored away in your memory. Yes, it’s ALL in there. Brain Health

Approximately 100 billion neurons come together to form your brain. Those neurons, or nerve cells, form pathways and connections. The connections occur through synapses, which allow the neurons to communicate with each other. Memories are made as the pathways between neurons are strengthened.

In order to keep your brain and memory functioning optimally, you need to exercise them and take good care of them on a regular basis. It’s true. Although your brain isn’t technically a muscle, it has to be taken care of in ways similar to how you work out your muscles and care for the rest of your body.
