Did you know that chronic sleep deprivation can increase your risk of obesity, heart disease and other chronic diseases? That it can also contribute to mood disorders? Do you get “cranky” if you miss some sleep? My kids recently told me that I do. (What do they know? Oh well. Anyway I already knew I get “cranky”, and I didn’t need them to tell me that. (Can you tell that I’ve been on call for the last two weeks straight?))

Studies have shown that adults with insomnia, (definition: sleep disorder characterized by difficulty going to, and/or, staying asleep), reported better sleep quality if they did aerobic and resistance exercise.
