Beat COVID 19 — Boost Your Immune System Quickly

COVID 19

Since we’re in the midst of this worldwide COVID 19 pandemic, you may be wondering what you can do to reduce your risk of getting sick. By now you should know that you need to wash your hands frequently. If soap and water isn’t readily available, use hand sanitizer. Avoid touching your face when out, and unless you’ve recently washed your hands. Stay home. Use social distancing when you have to go out. As much as you can, stay away from people who are coughing and/or sneezing. If you feel ill and have to go out, wear a face mask. It will reduce the risk of your infecting others. To make it less likely that you will get COVID 19 if you have to be around others who do or may have it, cover your nose and mouth completely with a mask, preferably an N95 and cover your eyes with goggles or safety glasses. Regular glasses are not enough as virus particles in the air can reach the mucous membranes of your eyes by going over, under and around your glasses.

What else can you do? Do all you can to get your immune system elevated as quickly as possible. There really are quite a few things you can do, although some do take time to make a significant difference. There’s rarely one guaranteed way to boost your immune system overnight, but if you start with a few things, it can improve rather quickly.

One thing you can do to rapidly improve your immune system is to change your sleep schedule. You can make the change in one night and you’ll notice the effects in a few days of maintaining a good sleep schedule.

Without proper sleep, your body can’t do many of the important functions that it needs for your immune system. Aim for 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night to get your immune system running strong.

Another way to swiftly improve your immune system is to drink less alcohol. People who drink heavily or consistently have been shown to have seriously compromised immune systems. But if that’s you, keep in mind that the damage done to those immune systems is reversible.

Cut back significantly and you can start to see results in just a day or two. Practicing good hygiene can be done at any time and greatly reduces your chances of getting infected.

Washing your hands thoroughly, refraining from touching your face, and generally keeping things clean is the key to keeping viruses and bacteria out of your body. By denying them any initial entry to begin with, you don’t even have to depend on your immune system by putting it to work.

Changing your diet can be done fairly swiftly, though it can be hard for some people. Ideally for your immune system, you need a diet high in fruits and vegetables. That will give you the micronutrients your immune system needs. When you eat an unhealthy diet, your immune system becomes weaker and unable to deal with viruses as well.

For a healthy immune system maintain these practices. Don’t just boost your immune system every time you start to feel sick or start to get worried. You’ll find that it’s too late and you’ll get infected.
